Exploring the Outdoors with our four legged friends
There are several books and journals that I’ve found useful when understanding how to train, handle, and coexist with working dogs. Research here is meant to move past obedience training, and explore knowledge required for a greater understanding of canines. Experiments have been designed by different Operant conditioning psychologist, behaviorist, inventors, and social philosophers that involve canines. I will explore some of those showing how providing positive reinforcement is more effective long term over negative punishment. Not only does it put emphasize on the physical and mental wellbeing of the animal, but it also builds and further solidifies trust and a relationship.
